What Is Value Investing? It Works In India Too?


Value Investing is an Investing approach already around since the beginning of stock market and investing history whether its investing in stock market or real estate, approach of Value Investing works very well at every aspect of Investing. So today we will discuss about Value Investing and it's implementation in Indian Stock Market.

Value Investing approach is a very difficult approach for those who wants to earn quick bucks in the stock market who actually don't have any patience or the strong reasons when it comes to investing what they all do is just - "Pour Money Into Well That Doesn't Have the Down End Point."


The Problem is, they actually don't want to learn about Value Investing because for them it's a very hard working process morover they call it a 'waste of time'. 

I recently discussed with my friend about Value Investing and was telling him how to Invest and wait for the long term with good stocks...here is a little part of the conversation.


GS(Gurpreet Saluja): "Hey MS, When it comes to Investing in Stock Market for the long term we should learn about the Value Investing approach and Invest after properly analyzing stocks for the very long term."  

MS: Value Investing? What it Is? Whatever you are saying sounds like a very hard working process, Markets doesn't works like this, we should just trade and earn money from it, Investing in stocks for long term is worthless just avoid it.

GS: Well MS, this means you never heard about Value Investing and How it has earned strong returns for it's faithful followers over a long term, Warren Buffet is one of the greatest example for us.


Yes, Warren Buffet is one of the Biggest Follower of Value Investing approach. Let me tell how he got introduced with it and made Billions from stock market. 

Ben Graham also known as the Father of Value Investing who wrote a Definitive Book on Value Investing - The Intelligent Investor

Ben Graham invented this approach and written a book on it in 1949 during those days Warren Buffet first time read this book and he found this approach so worthy that he applied all his investments in stocks accordingly and made billions of dollars from stocks.

This is just the introduction to Value Investing, it is a very vast subject and there are many other factors related to it which I will discuss specifically in my upcoming posts. 

Now, another question comes up is..

Does Value Investing Works In India Too?

Yes, my friend Value Investing is basically the proper analysis of the Business and it's financial conditions and to know What is the actual value of businesses. So In India there are businesses as well as we can study their financial conditions so Yes Value Investing Do Works In India too and you can earn amazing returns from stocks if you become the faithful follower of it.
